How can we connect our daily busy work lives with nature and also invite people to interact with the Nature Valley brand?
Idea:
Create a sound bank of nature sourced by nature valley fans, where through a map of the island users could upload and access real sounds from real locations in nature anytime, anywhere.

Exploration and design:
The homepage would be used to display a simple explanation of the mechanics of the site and promotion. The map would be located on the right side of the viewport and could be expanded upon click. We used the google maps api to design a simple interface using the brand colors. Users could explore sounds by selecting a drop pin which would reveal an image of the location with a simple audio player. Social media icons would be placed below the player for quick sharing.
The first iteration of the site displayed all the menu items below the map on the right, but upon further testing it was decided best to hide the menu, making it accessible through the hamburger icon.
How it worked:
Users who wanted to upload sounds would first have to fill out a simple form and upload a profile pic. Once their user info was confirmed they could then upload their sounds and location, which would be added to a map containing pins of all the uploaded nature sounds spots. Visitors could then explore the map, select a sound and be transported to nature.
